Nonprofit Capacity & Organizational Development

Most capacity building in the nonprofit sector is
well-intentioned and imprecise.

I've spent two decades working on that problem. From the inside as a CEO, from the outside as an organizational development practitioner, and now as someone building diagnostic infrastructure for the sector.

The Work

I work with mission-driven organizations on the alignment between their culture, strategy, and operations. The goal of assessment is to identify the highest-leverage intervention given where an organization actually is right now: what to address first, and why that order matters.

That precision comes from a methodology grounded in direct practice, built through a large-scale assessment initiative and refined through ongoing diagnostic engagements with organizations across the sector.

Background

Professional

Over two decades of leadership experience in mission-driven organizations, with particular depth in organizational structure, operational systems, and competency development. Former CEO, where I led a full-scale digital transformation, sustained nine consecutive years of clean audits, and grew organizational impact from a local charity serving 13,000 individuals to a national platform serving over 650,000.

That operational experience is the foundation of a structured methodology for organizational assessment. Developed and refined through diagnostic work across 117 nonprofits, it produces a clear, prioritized picture of where an organization needs to move next.

Personal

My child was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder at eight months old. Navigating healthcare and support systems as a family gave me a firsthand understanding of what it means to depend on organizations that provide critical services to community. That experience deepens both my commitment to mission-driven work and my respect for the staff and clients at the centre of it.
